MTX 500 /512
L’azienda Memotech ha iniziato a produrre schede di espansione e moduli di memoria di alta qualità per l’home computer Sinclair ZX 81.
Il britannico Memotech MTX 512 ha un hardware che assomiglia al Sord M5. Ha anche caratteristiche che sono vicine allo standard MSX, ma non è compatibile con MSX.
Utilizza un chip dedicato per video (Texas Instruments TM 9918 o 9928) e suono (Texas Instruments SN76489A) e ha una tastiera meccanica molto bella e una bella custodia in alluminio nero!
Entrambi i modelli hanno le stesse caratteristiche, ma l’MTX 500 ha solo 32 KB di RAM e il 512, 64 KB. Non ebbe successo e fu sostituito poco tempo dopo dall’RS-128.
