Il KC87 è il successore del KC85/1. La differenza principale tra i due sistemi è l’interprete BASIC integrato. Quindi era software e hardware compatibile con il suo predecessore.

Questo modello esisteva in due diverse versioni: KC87.30 e KC87.31. Quest’ultimo aveva già inclusa l’opzione RGB.
